PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Tiruchirappalli, to complete the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.2630 of 2019 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the complainant in C.C.No.2630 of 2019, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Tirichirappalli, for expeditious completion of the trial and dispose of the same. 1/4

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the complaint has been lodged by the petitioner under Section 138 r/w Section 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. It is posted for questioning of the accused from 10.02.2026 onwards. Though it is adjourned on 4 occasions, so far questioning of the accused has not been undertaken. It is finally posted on 07.04.2026.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the complaint was lodged in the year 2019, for the past 7 years, it has not been disposed of.

4. Considering the above said facts, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of C.C.No.2630 of 2019, on or before 31.08.2026.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
