ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.V.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2.These writ petitions are filed by two different writ petitioners seeking for a Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction two sets of incentive increments for acquiring M.A. and M.Phil qualification.

3.Whether the petitioners are entitled to the benefit of two sets of incentive increments as sought for by them is to be considered and decided by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law and therefore, this Court at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioners. However, it is seen that the petitioners have made representations before the respondents on 10.05.2013 and the same is said to be still pending.

4.Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of only with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
