ORDER

This petition is filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the second respondent herein to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate in respect of Document No.3771/1946 on basis of the complaint given by her on 03.12.2019.

2. The case of the petitioner is that on 01.12.2019, she was travelling in a bus from Valayankulam to Nallur, which is her native place and during the travel, she misplaced the document, bearing No.3771/1946, in respect of which, she made a complaint through online on 03.12.2019 and 06.01.2021 to the second respondent. But, till date, there was no proper action. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the original document, which was misplaced by the petitioner, was standing in her father's name. 1/3

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that in respect of the issue of NonTraceable Certificate, a detailed Circular dated 11.07.2020 was issued by the Deputy Director General of Police, with regard to the procedure to be followed by the Station House Officer while dealing with the complaints.

5. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner has to approach "C" Section attached to the Office of the Superintendent of Police for enquiry and thereafter, the concerned Officer, after following the procedure and enquiring the petitioner, will take appropriate steps.

6. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach "C" Section attached to the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Madurai and after enquiring the petitioner, the concerned Officer shall pass appropriate orders.

7. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
