Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the balance retirement amount a sum of (Rs.7,35,689.59) Rs.7,35,690/- with interest claimed in the representation dated 02.03.2023. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner was employed as Record Clerk in the respondent Society. He quit his service as early as on 30.04.2018. His grievance is that his retirement benefits have not been settled in full. Substantial amount still remains to be paid. The respondents 3 and 4 are directed to pay the balance amount to the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If within four months the balance amount is paid, it will not carry any interest. If within the stipulated time the balance amount is not paid to the petitioner, it will carry interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of the petitioner's original entitlement. 2/4

3. This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
