*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property comprised in Survey No.48/31 in Mariammankovil Street, Manamadurai Town, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner claims that he is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property having got the same under a settlement deed executed by his mother dated 09.07.2009. The petitioner also claims that he is in possession of the property ever since the date of the settlement deed.

3.No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner's application dated 30.03.2022 seeking for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and any other necessary party whom the respondent deems fit to enquire. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.[MD]No.8110 of 2022 4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2022, seeking for issuance of patta in his name for the property comprised in Survey No.48/31 in Mariammankovil Street, Manamadurai Town, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and other rival claimants, if any, including granting them the right of personal hearing.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
