O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed by Mr.P.Maria Antony Sebastin Vimalan, Seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to publish the marks and list of candidates selected for interview. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The petitioner, who completed B.E., in Civil Engineering, applied for the post of Junior Engineer in the 2nd respondent V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust. Therefore, he was called for written test held on 28.06.2015. Subsequently, in the interview held on 11.09.2015, no call letter was issued to the petitioner. Therefore, he come to this Court on 9.09.2015 praying the above relief.

Ms.A.Rajini, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that without even disclosing the mark secured by the petitioner in the written test, they cannot conduct the interview on 11.09.2015. The respondent, being a public Sector undertaking, should keep the selection process transparent by making open the marks secured by the petitioner and other candidates in the written examination.

4. In view of that, this Court issued notice. In Response to the same, today, learned counsel appearing for the respondent placed before this Court the marks secured by all the candidates and a copy of the same has also been given to the petitioner's counsel. He further submitted that the petitioner has secured only 42 marks in the written examination with Role No.271, whereas, the candidates, who secured marks 50 and above were alone considered for interview.

5. Since the petitioner has secured only 42 marks and the candidates, who called for the interview have secured 50 and above, this Court finds no merits in the writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed.
