ORDER
The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in Spl.S.C.No.46 of 2025 on the file of the learned Fast Track Mahila Judge, Srivilliputhur, seeking to quash the charge sheet, wherein they are charged with the offences under Sections 5(1), 5(j)(ii), 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 and 9 and 10 of Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.
2. First petitioner herein is the husband of the victim girl and second and third petitioners are the father-in-law and mother-in-law of the victim girl and fourth and fifth petitioners are the parents of the victim girl.
3. The victim girl was born on 22.06.2007 and she had attained majority on 22.06.2025 and she had married the first petitioner herein on 14.09.2025, after attaining the majority and the marriage has been 2/5
registered before the Sub Registrar, M. Vadipatti on 27.10.2025. After marriage, the parties have agreed for quashing of the charge sheet.
4. Today, the victim girl is present in-person before this Court and submits that she has married the first petitioner after attaining majority and they are leading a peaceful marriage life and she requested for quashing the charge sheet.
5. Considering the above said facts, the Spl.S.C.No.46 of 2025 on the file of the learned Fast Track Mahila Judge, Srivilliputhur, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 17.03.2026 shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
