ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai to dispose the case in C.C.No.420 of 2016, within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the sole accused in this case and the F.I.R was registered in Crime No.881 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 506(i) of IPC r/w 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Exorbitant interest Act. The further contention is that though the Crime is of the year 2014 and the case was registered in the year 2016 in C.C.No.420 of 2016, till date, trial proceedings was not completed. Hence he filed this petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that inspite of lapse of five years, the trial Court has not concluded the trial proceedings. He would further submitted that the petitioner is aged about 68 years and hence, he seeks the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.OP(MD).No.6362 of 2021 indulgence of this Court for speedy disposal.

4. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and considering the old age of the case, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate-VI, Madurai to conclude the trial within five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and compliance report must be submitted by the Registry.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
