2. The petitioner seeks permission to conduct Karakattam on 10.04.2024 in connection with the petition mentioned temple festival. The petitioner was constrained to move this writ petition because similar request made by the other organizers had been rejected. 2.

My attention is drawn to letter No.4711/Ele.VIII(2)/2024-1 dated 25.03.2024 issued by the Chief Electoral Officer calling upon all the District Election officers to not to refuse permission for performing folk dances. I therefore direct the fifth respondent to grant permission as sought for by the petitioner. The petitioner shall be permitted to conduct the petition mentioned event. It is open to the fifth respondent to stipulate appropriate conditions. The 2/4
