Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents to upgrade the petitioner to the post of Grade-I Police Constable from the first succeeding month from the date of completion of ten years of petitioner's service and consequently pay all the attendant benefits to him.

The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to upgrade him to the post of Grade-I Police Constable from the first succeeding month from the date of completion of his ten years of service with pay and all other attendant benefits.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would make a plea that if the representation of the petitioner dated 08.10.2014, forwarded to the third respondent is disposed of and suitable orders passed thereon, the grievance of the petitioner would be redressed.
3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent, without adverting into the merits of the case, is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 08.10.2014 on merits and in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity of hearing to him, pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If on a specified date the petitioner does not appear for personal hearing, suitable orders may be passed on merits based on the available records after recording the absence of the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
