ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner based on the complaint dated 23.03.2023 in accordance with law.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that based on the complaint given by the third respondent herein, enquiry was undertaken and during the course of enquiry, it was found that with regard to the civil dispute between the parties, C.R.P(MD).No.2291 of 2018 is pending before this Court. During the course of enquiry, both the parties appeared before the Enquiry Officer and they stated that they are ready to work out their remedy in the case. On that undertaking, the complaint was closed. He further submitted that after the death of the petitioner's father, the petitioner made a representation seeking police protection, since the civil case is pending between the parties, the representation is kept pending for consideration.

3. In view of the above submission, nothing survives for further consideration in this matter. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is 2/4

dismissed as infructuous and liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the pending case.
