This petition is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.107 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent police.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the State.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), on instructions, would submit that initially, the above said Crime No.107 of 2016 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 147, 148, 427 and 506(ii) of IPC., against the accused persons and 5 unknown persons. During the enquiry, the first petitioner and the fourth petitioner have been impleaded as accused in the above said case and the offences has also been altered into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Sections 294(b) and 427 of IPC. He further submitted that subsequently, the alteration FIR has been forwarded to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Paramakudi.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) may be recorded. He further seeks a direction to the respondent police to complete the enquiry within a time frame.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and submit the final report before the Court concerned within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
