Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 8th respondent from encroaching on the Kudamutti Water Channel in Survey No.71, Across Periya Alankulam Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District by constructing the building for Seva Centre and further directing the respondents to remove the encroachment so far done by the 8th respondent
on the said place.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) The Panchayat President is the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition, seeking for a direction to the respondents to forbear the eighth respondent from constructing a building in the water course which would affect the petitioner's village. The issue between the two villages on sharing of certain lands would at best be resolved by the District Collector. Therefore, the District Collector, the second respondent herein is directed to call for a meeting of both panchayat presidents and resolve the issue.
2.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. M.P(MD)No.1 of 2015 is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(AS) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar.
