Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent-Police submits that the respondent-Police had registered a case in Crime No.127 of 2025 for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023 and had also registered another case in Crime No.133 of 2025 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thalamuthur Nagar Police Station, Thoothukudi District, for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023. He further submits that the offences involved in this case are bailable in nature. Hence, this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 is not maintainable.
