ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Civil Revision Petition, to direct the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Kumbakonam, to dispose of O.S.No.173 of 2014, within the stipulated period of time.

2. The revision petitioner, who is the plaintiff, filed suit in O.S.No.173 of 2014, on the file of the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Kumbakonam, for declaration to declare that no marriage between the petitioner and the first respondent took place on 22.06.2014 and for a consequential injunction and also for a Mandatory Injunction.

3. The respondent filed written statement on 06.03.2011 and the learned Judge framed issues on 27.07.2015 and thereafter, the matter was posted for trial on 23.09.2015. From that date onwards, the suit is being adjourned without any progress. In the circumstances, the petitioner has come out with the present revision.

4. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

5. Taking into consideration of the material facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, it may be expedient to issue a direction to the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Kumbakonam. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed and the learned Principal Subordinate Judge, Kumbakonam, is directed to dispose of O.S.No.173 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 30th June 2017. No costs.
