This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct "demonstration" near Thalaiyuthu Bus Stand, Thalaiyuthu, Tirunelveli District on 23.06.2018 at 04.00 p.m., to 06.00 p.m., by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 07.06.2018 for conducting demonstration near Thalaiyuthu Bus Stand, Thalaiyuthu, Tirunelveli District. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the second respondent has rejected the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2018 on the ground that without mentioning the correct place of demonstration and also citing law and order issues, since there already exists tension regarding sterlite issue.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court cannot give any direction as sought for in the petition. It is open to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents herein and on receipt of such representation, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
