This petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, her husband and her husband's family by considering her representation dated 16.02.2016.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials placed on record.
3. It is seen that the petitioner is Hindu by birth and converted to Islam and got married one Mohamed Yasar on 14.02.2016, which is being opposed by the respondents 3 to 8, who are the parents and relatives of the petitioner.

4. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in Latasingh Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh and another reported in 2006(5) SCC 475 has stated as follows: "It is therefore directed that the administration/police authorities throughout the country will see to it that if any boy or girl who is a major, undergoes inter-caste or interreligious marriage with a woman or man who is a major, the couple is not harassed by anyone nor subjected to threats or acts of violene either himself or at his instigation, is taken to task by instituting criminal proceedings by the police against such persons and further stern action is taken against such persons as provided by law" .
5. Hence, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Superintendent of Police, Dindigul to give a representation for police protection and on such representation being made, the respondents 1 to 3 shall enquire into the matter and take action as per the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Latasingh Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh and another reported in 2006(5) SCC 475.
