ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to dispose of the revision petition pending before the respondent in the light of the communication issued to the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.50792/2013/G2, dated 05.09.2013 within a stipulated time.

2. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, it has been averred that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai vide proceedings in Ne.Mu.No.11000/2008/N, dated 04.06.2013 has confirmed the patta issued by the Tahsildar, Madurai North, Madurai District in favour of the petitioner in respect of the land in Survey No.23/1 situated at Maranavariyenthal village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. order, a revision petition was filed before the respondent and the same has been communicated to the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.50792/2013/G2, dated 05.09.2013. The said revision is pending without any consideration for the past two years. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the submissions made on either side, without going into the merits of the averments made in the petition, the respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders in the revision petition No.50792/2013/G2, on merits and in accordance with law, by affording an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner and it is for the respondent to consider the same purely on merits. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
