Respondents in all W.Ps The Writ Petitions have been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 21.08.2015 for inclusion of the names of the petitioners and their two brothers who are the descendants of Marudhu Pandiar brothers and provide monthly political pension.

For petitioner : Mr.M.pounraj (In all W.Ps) For Respondents : Mr.M.Murugan Government Advocate (In all W.Ps) COMMON ORDER The Writ Petitions have been filed by the petitioner praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation, dated 21.08.2015 for inclusion of their names who are the descendants of Marudhu Pandiar brothers and provide monthly political pension.

2. Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up final disposal.

4.It is averred in the petition that the Government of Tamil Nadu through G.O.Ms.No.1143, dated 19.07.1982, sanctioned political pension of Rs.150/- per mensum to each family of the descendants of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Marudhu Pandiar brothers of Sivaganga. It is further averred that the petitioners are the descendants of Marudhu Pandiar brothers. But their names were not included in the list. As per G.O.Ms.No.1143, dated 19.07.1982, the petitioners are also entitled to receive political pension. The petitioners' relatives also filed W.P(MD)Nos.7234 and 7235 of 2009 seeking for a direction to provide political pension. The same was ordered on 17.07.2014. The petitioners have also sent a representation to the second respondent on 21.08.2015. But the same was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the Writ Petitions for the above stated relief.

Considering the submissions made, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 21.08.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners and it is for the second respondent to pass orders purely on merits.

With the above direction, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No Costs.
