PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Special Sessions Judge for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Madurai to accept the surrender of the petitioners/Accused No.3 and 7 to consider the petitioner's bail application and grant bail on the date of surrender itself in Crime No.30 of 2020 dated 14.02.2020 on the file of the second respondent police.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the learned Special Sessions Judge for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Madurai, to accept the surrender of the petitioners/Accused No.3 and 7; to consider the petitioner's bail application and grant bail on the date of surrender, in Crime No.30 of 2020, dated 14.02.2020, on the file of the second respondent police.

2.Today, when the petition is came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in earlier immediately after passing an order in favour of the petitioners, dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.7759 of 2020 28.05.2020, the petitioners are unable to surrender before the Court concerned, due to the lock-down.

3.Now on go through the prayer sought for by the petitioners, again they have filed the petition to accept the surrender of the petitioners; to consider their bail application and grant bail on the date of surrender. In this regard, on 28.05.2020 itself this Court has granted the relief, now sought for by the petitioners. So, further direction to accept the surrender of the petitioners, is not necessary at this time.

4.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to file an application to extend the period, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
