ORDER
The writ petition is filed for mandamus directing the 1st respondent to grant an extension of six months' time to complete the construction of the bridge over the Keezhapasalai Canal across the channel in S.No.217/1B as per the earlier permission in vide proceedings dated 27.05.2025 with police protection.
2. Heard Mr.R.Senthil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for R1 & R2 and Mr.K.Gnanasekaran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), who takes notice for R3.
3. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, the grievance of the petitioner is that when there was a law and order problem the work could not be completed in time and therefore, they have sought an extension of time along with protection.

4. When the matter came up for hearing today, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the prayer of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:- i. The 1st respondent shall take up the representation dated 12.11.2025 for enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the interested parties.
ii. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs. 17.03.2026 Index: Yes Speaking Order: Yes rgm 3/4
