ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Civil Revision Petition to expedite the fair rent petition in R.C.O.P.No.263 of 2009 pending on the file of the learned Additional District Munsif-cum-Rent Controller of Madurai Town.

2.The petitioners filed R.C.O.P.No.263 of 2009 before the District Munsif Court-cum-Rent Controller, Madurai against the respondents for fixation of fair rent. The respondents filed counter statement on April 2010. Subsequently, RCOP was posted for enquiry. The petitioners have filed proof affidavit and they were examined in chief. RCOP posted for cross examination of P.W.1 by the respondents counsel on 27.08.2013. From that date onwards, the respondents did not cross-examine the P.W.1 and kept pending without any further progress. In the circumstances, the petitioners have come out with the present Civil Revision Petition for early disposal of RCOP. 3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and also perused the entire materials on record. 4.Taking into consideration the material facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, it may be expedient to issue a direction to the District Munsif -cum-Rent Controller, Madurai.

5.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed and the learned District Munsif -cum-Rent Controller, Madurai is directed to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.263 of 2009 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than, 30th June, 2017.
