O R D E R

This petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate protection to the petitioner and his property bearing Patta No.5584 comprised in Sur.No.249 situated at Uppoor Village, Thiruppalaikudi Post, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District from the hands of the 3rd respondent on the basis of the representation dated 19.05.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 against the proposed accused on 19.05.2018 alleging that the proposed accused demanded Rs.1,00,000/- as if she maintained the petitioner's property, when the petitioner left the native village. protection to his property and his life. But no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present petition has been filed before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, would submit that the enquiry is pending before the second respondent. He further submitted that if any specific time is granted, the second respondent will complete the enquiry on the petitioner's representation within the stipulated time.

5. In the light of the above, this second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.05.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing necessary opportunities to the parties concerned within the period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
