Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to cancel the petitioner's community certificate No.1215/2007 and to reissue fresh community certificate to the petitioner that he belongs to Hindu Parayan community of scheduled caste by considering his representation dated 27.02.2014.

O R D E R

(Order of this Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN,J.) The Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking an order in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Tahsildar, Virudhunagar District, the second respondent herein, to cancel the community certificate No.1215/2007 issued in favour of the petitioner stating him as Christian Paraiyan community of Backward Class and reissue the community certificate stating that he belongs to Hindu Paraiyan community of Scheduled Caste by considering his representation dated 27.02.2014.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner drew the attention of this Court to the earlier community certificate issued in favour of the petitioner stating that his father belongs to Christian Paraiyan community of Backward Class and also the Gazette notification issued in the Tamil Nadu Gazette dated 24.07.2013 to show that his father namely, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Chinnapparaj.R (Christian) reconverted into Hinduism. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner also reconverted into Hinduism and therefore, he is eligible to get the community certificate of Hindu Paraiyan of Scheduled Caste. 4.On the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the averments made in the accompanying affidavit, we find it just and reasonable to direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2014. 5.Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2014 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
