This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to forbearing from proceeding with the promotion to the post of Office Manager/Superintendent from the post of Assistant/Accountant/Storekeeper in pursuant to the seniority list published by the fist respondent vide proceedings dated 15.02.2025, without considering and disposing the objections submitted by the petitioner dated 08.03.2025.

Mr.Sachikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent Nos.1 and 2, on instruction submits that the petitioner very well aware of the proceedings dated 15.02.2025 about Draft provisional seniority list and objections were called for from all the interested persons. The petitioner also submitted his objections on 08.03.2025. The learned Additional Government Pleader further contends that with the apprehension, the petitioner approached this Court by filing this writ petition stating that the first respondent is affecting the promotions, basing on the Draft Provisional List. 2/6

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it appears that the first respondent issued Draft Provisional Seniority list dated 15.02.2025 of the Assistant/Accountant/Store-keeper and objections were called for from the persons included in that list. It appears that the petitioner with apprehension that the first respondent may proceed to effect promotions to the post of Office Manager/Superintendent, he filed this present writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that after considering the objections of the employees, the first respondent will publish a final seniority list. Basing on the said list only, promotions will be effected.
5. Considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. Statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader that no promotions will be effected, basing on the Provisional Seniority List dated 15.02.2025 and without considering the objections of the concerned employees is placed on record.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
