The revision petitioner has filed the above Civil Revision Petition seeking a direction to the Subordinate Court, Thoothukudi to expedite the proceedings in H.M.O.P.No.368 of 2014.

2. The petitioner is the respondent and the respondent is the petitioner in H.M.O.P.No.368 of 2014 on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge, Thoothukudi.

The respondent filed H.M.O.P.No.368 of 2014 seeking divorce. The petitioner filed counter affidavit on 26.10.2015. Subsequently, the respondent did not appear and the H.M.O.P. is adjourned without any progress. In the circumstances, the petitioner has come out with the present revision petition for speedy disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. Taking into consideration of the material facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, it may be expedient to issue a direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Thoothukudi. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed and the learned Subordinate Judge, Thoothukudi https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is directed to dispose of the H.M.O.P.No.368 of 2014 as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 31.08.2017. No costs.
