Respondent/Complainant Prayer :- Criminal Appeal filed under Section 374 of Cr.P.C., against the judgment of conviction passed by the Mahila Court (Mahila Fast Track Court) Viruthunagar District at Srivilliputhur in S.C.No. 34 of 2011 dated 26.09.2019.

ORDER:- This Appeal coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 04.03.2021 and the requisition letter of the Judge, Family Court, Srivilliputhur vide letter in D.No. 276/2021 dated 02/08/2021, and this Court made the following order:

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN,J.) Earlier, this Court, by judgment dated 04.03.2021, allowed the Criminal Appeal and remanded the matter back to the trial Court for retrial and directed the trial Court to dispose of the matter within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

2. Since the trial could not be completed as directed by this Court, the learned Family Court Judge, Srivilliputhur, by letter dated 02.08.2021, sought for extension of time, wherein the trial Court has stated that due to COVID - 19 Pandemic, the trial could not be proceeded. Further, P.Ws.1 to 3 alone were examined and 11 witnesses yet to be examined by the defence and hence, he seeks three months time for completing the trial.

3. Considering the reasons stated, time already granted by this Court is extended for a period of three months and the learned Family Court Judge, Srivilliputhur is directed to complete the trial within a period of three months from today.
