This petition was filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.78 of 2019 pending investigation on the file of the first respondent. 2.When the matter came up on earlier occasion, the parties were directed to amicably settle the dispute and accordingly, they were referred to the Mediation Centre attached to this Bench.
3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioners had to pay a sum of Rs. 10,00,000/- to the defacto complainant and that the same has been paid in two installments (Rs.5,00,000/- each).
4.In the light of the above development, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the FIR pending, more particularly, considering the nature of allegations made in the FIR. Resultantly the FIR in Crime No.78 of 2019 pending on the file of the first respondent is quashed.
