Prayer: These Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying to expedite the eviction petition in R.C.O.P. No. 261 of 2009 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Rent Controller of Madurai Town, which was adjourned for several times and thereby allow this Civil Revision Petition.

The petitioner has filed this Civil Revision Petition to expedite the eviction petition in R.C.O.P. No. 261 of 2009 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Rent Controller of Madurai Town, which was adjourned for several times.

2. The revision petitioners have filed the eviction petition in RCOP.No.261 of 2009 on the ground of own use and occupation, additional accommodation and demolition and reconstruction willful default in payment of arrears of rent. According to the petitioners, the counter statement has been filed in the year 2012 and the RCOP was posted for enquiry on 30.07.2013 and trial was commenced and thereafter, the RCOP is being adjourned without any progress for the past eight years. Therefore, the petitioners have come out with the present revision.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and perused the materials available on record.

4. Taking into consideration the material facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, it may be expedient to issue a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Rent Controller of Madurai Town. Accordingly, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this Civil Revision Petition is allowed and the learned District Munsif cum Rent Controller of Madurai Town, is directed to dispose of R.C.O.P. No. 261 of 2009, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 31th June 2017. No costs.
