O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to remove the alleged wrong entry made in the revenue records in respect of Patta No.1077 pertaining to the petitioner's property comprised in S.No.14-B/1F to an extent of 0.27.00 acres of punja land situated at Neyveli Vadipatti Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2.The petitioner submits that by an earlier order, dated 23.11.2020 passed in W.P.(MD)No.16544 of 2020, this Court had directed the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 15.07.2020 after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner as well as any other necessary party with regard to the request made by the petitioner for removal of the alleged wrong entry made in the revenue records in respect of Patta No.1077.

3.According to the petitioner, no time frame was granted by this Court in the earlier order and due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, final orders have not been passed till date. In such circumstances, he has filed this Writ Petition seeking for the very same relief.

4.Heard Mr.J.Devasanam, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5.The petitioner has filed documents in support of his case that there is a wrong entry. According to the petitioner, in Patta No.1077, the name of the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned as Kalyana Velaar. In the earlier order, dated 23.11.2020 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.16544 of 2020, this Court had directed the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties including the petitioner and Kalyana Velaar.

6.It is contended by the petitioner that the earlier order, dated 23.11.2020 passed in W.P.(MD)No.16544 of 2020 has not been complied with till date due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. In such circumstances, he has filed this Writ Petition seeking for the very same relief.

7.No prejudice will be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's representation seeking for removal of the alleged wrong entry in Patta No.1077 is considered on merits and in accordance with law as directed by this Court in the earlier order in W.P.(MD) No.16544 of 2020, dated 23.11.2020.

8.Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation seeking for removal of the alleged wrong entry made in the revenue records in Patta No.1077 pertaining to the property comprised in S.No.14-B/1F to an extent of 0.27.00 acres of punja land situated at Neyveli Vadipatti Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District, in terms of the direction given by this Court in the earlier order, dated 23.11.2020 in W.P. (MD)No.16544 of 2020 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
