ORDER
The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in Spl.S.C.No. 164 of 2025, on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Dindigul, seeking to quash the charge sheet wherein the petitioners are charged with the offences under Sections 9 (r ), 10, 9(i) of POCSO Act r/w 506(i) of IPC.
2. The date of birth of the victim girl is 31.05.2006. She attained majority on 31.05.2024. After attaining majority, she married the first accused on 16.03.2026. The marriage was subsequently registered before the Sub-Registrar, Kannivadi, on 01.06.2026.
3. Pending trial, the parties have entered into a compromise, wherein the defacto complainant had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet in view of the fact that she has married the first petitioner. 2/5
4. Today the defecto complainant is present in-person and she acknowledges the fact that she had agreed for quashing of the charge sheet. She further submitted that, considering her marital life, the charge-sheet may be quashed.
5. In view of the above fact, charge sheet in Spl.S.C.No.164 of 2025, on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of cases under POCSO Act, Dindigul, is hereby quashed.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order. 22.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No am 3/5
