O R D E R
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2.The petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to expeditiously dispose of the proceedings pending on the file of the first respondent in Na. Ka.Ka2/13431/2020. 3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that for the past 10 years, the petitioner has been made to run from pillar to post to get patta for his property.
4.However, learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that even on 24.03.2025, the third respondent has recommended issuance of patta to the petitioner and has forwarded 2/5
proposal to the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai. He would submit that on receipt of approval from the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai, the fourth respondent would be directed to pass further orders.
5.Considering the developments in the matter, it would suffice to direct the first respondent to pass orders directing the fourth respondent to issue patta to the petitioner subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve [12] weeks from today, considering the age of the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has been attempting to get patta for the property for almost 10 years now.
6.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
