Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to call for the records relating to S.C.No.102 of 2017 on the file of Learned Additional District judge Fast Track Court, Paramakudi and to quash the same in so far as this petitioner is concern.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this court and the letter submitted by the Additional District Judge, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, vide letter D.No.588/2021 dated 01.04.2021, requesting for further period of 5 months to dispose the SC.No.102/2017 pending on its file, this Court made the following order:

This Court, by order dated 19.09.2019, directed the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Tract Court, Paramakudi, to complete the trial in S.C.No.102 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, on the basis of the request made by the Trial Court on 24.09.2020, five months time has been extended.

2.Due to pandemic situation, the trial could not be completed within the time stipulated by this Court. Hence, the Trial Court by letter dated 01.04.2021, seeking further extension of five months time.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the time granted by this Court is extended by five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
