Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.2 to provide educational loan of Rs.1,31,400/- (Rupees One lakh Thirty one thousand and four hundred only) for the academic year 2010-2014 to the petitioner studying in final year Computer Science Engineering at Sethu Institute of Technology Pullor, Kariapatti, Virudhunagar District, within the time stipulated by this court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.2 to provide educational loan of Rs.1,31,400/- (Rupees One lakh Thirty one thousand and four hundred only) for the academic year 2010-2014 to the petitioner studying in final year Computer Science Engineering at Sethu Institute of Technology Pullor, Kariapatti, Virudhunagar District.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the course itself is already over. Therefore, the petition praying for educational loan as such is not maintainable.

4.At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the petitioner's father is seriously ill and the respondents may be directed to grant atleast personal loan to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.In view of the above, if the petitioner approaches the bank for personal loan, the respondent authorities shall consider the same in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
