ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner/accused in D.V.C.No.3 of 2025 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi, seeking to quash the charge sheet wherein the petitioner has been charged for the offence under Sections 18, 19, 20 and 22 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, immediately after marriage, the petitioner's wife has left the matrimonial home and after a period of two years, the present complaint has been lodged with false allegation.

3. This Court has perused the complaint and find that prima facie case has been made out as against the petitioner herein. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, Crl.M.P(MD)No.6774 of 2026 is closed.

4. The personal appearance of the petitioner in D.V.C.No.3 of 2025 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi, shall stand dispensed with unless it is specifically directed by the trial Court.
