Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to consider petitioner's application dated 26.08.2015 and to grant approval for constructing a house with ground and 1st floor in survey No.707 new Natham Survey No.919/45A in Kothayam Village, Oddanchatram Taluk, Dindigul District. ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to consider her application, dated 26.08.2015, wherein and whereby, She sought for approval for constructing a house at the property referred to in the writ petition.

Needless to say that the concerned respondent, namely, the Thoppampatti Village Panchayat has to consider the request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Now it is stated that the President of the said Panchayat is not in Office and on the other hand, the Block Development Officer has taken charge of the administration of the Panchayat. If that is the case, the said official, namely, the Block Development Officer of Kotthiyam Panchayat, shall consider the application of the petitioner, dated 26.08.2015 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
