The petitioner seeks production of the person of his son namely Balan, aged about 23 years, who according to the petitioner, went missing on 01.11.2020 and despite a complaint having been lodged on 10.02.2021, no action has been taken by the respondent police.

2. Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, would upon instructions submit that the petitioner's son, who was working in a lodge in Tiruchendur, went missing and he is not traceable. All the efforts taken by the police proved futile. He would add that the police are looking for clues regarding the whereabouts of the petitioner's son.

3. It almost a year now. We therefore do not see any reason to entertain this Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, this Habeas Corpus https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.630 of 2022 Petition, is dismissed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi, to monitor the investigation and take all efforts to secure the petitioner's son.
