This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent bank to sanction and disburse educational loan as per the petitioner's application, dated 20.08.2014 at an earliest.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent bank to sanction and disburse educational loan as per the petitioner's application, dated 20.08.2014 at an earliest.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined Tagore Engineering College Rathinamangalam in 1st year B.E., Course during July 2014 after passing +2 exam during March 2014 from Laurel Higher Secondary School, Kurumbajadu, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District. Considering the financial constraint of his family, the petitioner applied for educational loan with the first respondent bank on 20.08.2014 along with required testimonials (i.e.) Bonafide Certificate issued by the Colleges and other documents through registered post. But the first respondent declined to receive the said application. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

2. Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.
3. In view of the submissions made on either side, without going into the merits of the averment made in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 20.08.2014 and pass appropriate orders with regard to sanctioning of educational loan on merits and in accordance with the revised scheme framed by the Indian Banks Association, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
