ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.676/2014 on the file of the first respondent Police.
2. On 14.02.2022, the second respondent / defacto complainant as well as the first petitioner / first accused appeared before this Court through Video Conference and they were identified by their respective learned counsels. They were also identified by the learned Government Advocate and the Investigation Officer, namely, Mr.E.Gunaseelan, Head Constable, Thiruvidaimaruthur Police Station, Thanjavur District.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners has filed the xerox copies of Aadhaar Cards of the parties with respective passport size photos affixed therein. Both the parties have filed joint compromise memo, duly signed by the petitioners, the second respondent and also by their respective counsels stating that the matter in issue between them has been amicably resolved and therefore, the second respondent / defacto complainant is not willing to prosecute the case. Both the parties to compromise were enquired by me and they accepted the terms of compromise. Since the matter in issue has been compromised between the parties, no purpose will be served in keeping the case pending further.
4. In the result, by recording the compromise, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.676/2014, on the file of the first respondent police is quashed in respect of the petitioners. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
