This writ petition has been filed by T.P.Shiny, who has been issued with interview notice dated 07.01.2013 to appear for interview for the post of Assistant, seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner in the post of Assistant in Cooperative Societies pursuant to her representations dated 17.2.2015 and 16.6.2015.
2. Mr. T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The respondent issued a notification No.3/2012 SRB dated 02.11.2012 inviting applications from eligible candidates for appointment in the vacancies for the post of Assistant in various Cooperative Societies. The petitioner being B.E., (E.C.E) graduate applied for the said post and subsequently, first interview was held on 27.01.2012 but the petitioner appeared in the second interview held on 29.09.2014. The petitioner participated in the 2nd Class Language Test (Full test) for Tamil Language in the Departmental examinations conducted in December 2014 and she has been declared successful. While so, the grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent refused to issue appointment order on the ground that she has not studied Tamil language either 10th Standard or +2 Standard. In this regard, she has also given representations stating that she is a qualified candidate as she has passed 2nd Class language Test for Tamil Language in the Departmental examinations, which has not been considered.
