This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the village Cultural Programme on 01.04.2023 at about 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm as part of the 39th Panguni festival of Sri Nallamuthu Mariamman Temple at Karaikudi, Sivagangai District by considering the representation, dated 27.03.2023.
2. Mr.S. Sureshkumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that because of the rivalry between two groups of people, over which, three FIR have been registered against the petitioner and counter parties in Crime Nos.17 to 19 of 2023 and hence, the apprehension of breach of peace by the respondents. Therefore, the writ petitioner's 2/4
representation was rejected by the second respondent vide order dated 31.03.2023.
4. Since the petitioner's representation was rejected, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
