The petitioner has filed this petition for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned communication of the 4th respondent dated 04.04.2024 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to perform cultural events namely Karakattam and Aadal - Padal on 07.04.2024 to 09.04.2024 in connection with the temple festival namely Arulmigu Sree Mariamman Thirukovil at Ayyanapuram Village Chathirapatti Post, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2024. 2/4

2. The petitioner has approached the authorities for direction to conduct Adal Padal in the village temple festival, that was rejected, based on the objections raised by the respondent police. The objections provided by the respondent police is challenged in this Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his relief that instead of Adal Padal, permission may be granted for conducting Innisai Katcheri. In that event, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Assistant Returning Officer with a new proposal and the respondents shall consider the possibility of any law and order issue and shall take a decision accordingly for permitting conduct of Innisai Katcheri. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
