PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to accept the loan application dated 6.9.2014 and sanction the education loan to the petitioner's grandson namely K.Maruthanaygam within a time stipulated by this Court without insisting that the candidate's parents should be the joint borrowers in the education loan agreement. In this writ petition the petitioner is seeking for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to accept the loan application dated 06.09.2014 and sanction education loan to the petitioner's grandson namely K.Maruthanayagam within a time stipulated by this Court without insisting that the candidate's parents should be the joint borrowers in the education loan agreement.

Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent. 3.Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the father was available but he has not been joined as a borrower.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's mother is died and his father is left from the family and the petitioner has approached the bank as the grand mother for sanctioning of loan for his grandson. The learned counsel further submits that if the bank seeks co-applicant, the petitioner's uncle or aunty may stand as co-applicant.
5. In that event the petitioner is directed to approach the respondent along with another co-applicant either an uncle or aunty.
6. If co-applicant approaches the bank, the bank is directed to consider the application for educational loan of the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
7. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
