O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] Alleging that the petitioner's daughter aged about 19 years old was missing from 29.01.2025 and that the petitioner had given a complaint to the second respondent and that no action has been taken, after registering a case in Crime No.94 of 2025, the petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.94 of 2025 was registered on 17.02.2025 under "Woman missing" and that the respondent police have taken serious steps to find out the whereabouts of the missing person.

3.The second status report has been filed before this Court.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the second status report and the same is taken on file. 5.Having gone through the status report, we are of the opinion that the missing person is not in illegal custody of anybody. Hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed with a direction to the second respondent to continue with the investigation in Crime No.94 of 2025 and the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Aruppukkottai, is directed to monitor the investigation on fortnight basis.
