ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.672/2017, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alangulam, Thenkasi District.

2.On perusal of records revealed that the petitioner had illegally transported river sand valued at Rs.9.50/-. The trial is pending for the past five years and the petitioner was forced to attend the court proceedings for the past five years. But, the trial is pending without any progress.

3.In view of the above, it is nothing but, clear abuse of process of law.

Crl.O.P(MDO.No. 7908 of 2022 C.C.No.672/2017 are quashed. The criminal original petition is allowed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
