O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to hear and dispose of the Appeal dated 26.05.2020 filed under Clause 14 of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme, 2006 by the petitioner within a specific time frame.

2. Aggrieved by the order passed by the Banking Ombudsman in closing the petitioner's earlier complaint dated 29.10.2018, the petitioner filed a W.P.(MD) No.22262 of 2019 and the same was disposed of by this Court with a direction to approach the appellate Authority under clause 14 of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme. Subsequent to the order of this Court dated 22.10.2019, the petitioner made an appeal dated 26.05.2020 to the respondent. Till date, no action has been taken by the respondent to dispose of the Appeal and it is still pending. Hence, this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ _________

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that it would be suffice if a direction is given to dispose of the Appeal filed by the petitioner.

4. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case projected by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 26.05.2020, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
