ORDER
The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to cancel the patta in Patta No.2887 in S.No.60/3C1, situated at Anaiyur 1st Bit, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, and issue fresh patta in the petitioner's name by sub-dividing the land measuring an extent of 3 cents, by the way of considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2024. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner only seeks expeditious disposal of his representation dated 18.03.2024. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the second respondent has already taken up the matter and posted the application of the petitioner for necessary enquiry on 03.04.2025. 2/4
5.Considering the limited relief sought for by the writ petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2024, for cancellation of patta, after hearing the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent and pass orders on merits in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from today. No costs.
