JUDGMENT

(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The appellant herein filed W.P.(MD)No.7146 of 2021 seeking conversion of the major penalty proceedings into minor penalty proceedings. The learned Single Judge vide order dated 19.11.2024 not only dismissed the writ petition but gave several other adverse directions and findings.

2.It is seen that the writ petitioner actually wanted to withdraw the writ petition itself. When the writ petitioner wanted to withdraw the writ petition, there is no reason as to why, the said request could not have been acceded to. In any event, such a request can be renewed at the appeal stage. The appellant is permitted to withdraw the writ petition itself. W.P.(MD)No.7146 of 2021 is dismissed as withdrawn. The order dated 19.11.2024 is set aside.
