O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give Police protection for the petitioner's life and his property comprised in Survey Nos.159/6A, 159/7A, 159/9 and 160/2. 2.It is seen that the petitioner has purchased agricultural property comprised in Survey Nos.159/6A, 159/7A, 159/9 and 160/2 by sale deeds dated, 11.05.2018 and 03.08.3018 from the third respondent and his predecessors. Thereafter, the respondents-3 to 8 threatened the petitioner with dire consequences with intention to excort the huge amount from the petitioner. The respondents-6 & 7 are ex-presidents and the eight respondent is close relative of the third respondent. The respondents-6 to 8 trespassed into the land and took possession of the property. CRL.O.P (MD) No.6995 of 2019 registered in Crime No.125 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 353 and 506(i) of I.P.C. Even then the respondents-3 to 8 are disturbing the possession and enjoyment of the property of the petitioner herein. They also completely destroyed the crops. Hence, so many complaints have been filed before the respondents 1 & 2.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the complainant, a case has been registered in Crime No.280 of 2019 as against the respondents-3 to 8 herein. No dispute that the petitioner is bonafide. He duly purchased by valid registered sale deed by consideration. This submission is recorded.

4. In view of the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his property comprised in Survey Nos.159/6A, 159/7A, 159/9 and 160/2 situated in Maruthakudi Village, Poothalur Taluk, Tanjavur District.

5. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
