ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry on the petitioner's objection regarding the issuance of patta in respect of the land situated at T.S. No. 1974/2, Ward No. 1, Block No. 98, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that the land in Survey No. 1974/2 belongs to Keelamathur Pallivasal. The said Pallivasal was constructed in remembrance of Moquitsha Sahib Sarguru, and the property belongs to the Pallivasal. The Pallivasal had divided the land and constructed shops and houses, in which certain individuals are presently residing. These individuals are now seeking individual pattas. The petitioner objects to the same on the ground that the land belongs to the Pallivasal, and therefore, individual pattas cannot be issued to the tenants residing therein.
3. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the individuals residing in the said property, and thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits 2/4
and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
